I shoot across the full range. People, products, food, sport, animals, landscape, and everything that sits between studio and location. The work has run from local NZ shoots to international productions across multiple countries. The brief changes. The standard does not.
Photography on a website that has to convert is not decoration. It is the first signal a visitor reads, before the headline, before the offer, before any copy is processed. Get it right and the page earns the next three seconds. Get it wrong and it does not matter how good the rest of the work is.
Every shoot is briefed against the commercial outcome, not just the creative one. For En Beauty, that meant imagery that signalled Japanese precision without overperforming it. For sport and brand campaigns, stills that hold up next to broadcast footage and earn their place on a billboard.
The video work spans the full ladder. At one end, lightweight talking heads, founder interviews, and social content, often shot in a couple of hours with a small footprint. At the other end, full creative direction across multi-location productions with director of photography, sound, lighting, and post handled by senior collaborators we trust. In between, social cut-downs, brand films, performance creative, and product video.
I direct, and where the brief justifies it, I shoot and edit personally. Where the work needs a bigger team, we assemble one. Either way, the creative thinking stays in one place, which is the difference between video that fits the brand and video that was made by committee.
The En Beauty brand film was directed and produced end to end by Kyttn. Petdirect's national campaigns were led from inside the business as Creative Director. Whether the project needs a single shoot day or a full production schedule, the approach is the same. Brief tightly. Direct clearly. Deliver what the work is actually for.
